First store in London
US clothing label MAXSTUDIO.COM is opening its first European store In London on the 10 February. It will be thee 3000 square-foot shop that situated on Westbourne Grove. The limited edition Leon Max collection and the label’s sportier MAXSTUDIO.COM line will be available in their new store.
“I now spend half the year in England and would like to have a laboratory in which to test some of my offerings nearby,” the label’s founder and creative director Leon Max said . “I hope most of what we do will appeal to a British market - we try to cover dressing for most occasions in women’s lives.”
Although the brand is based in California, in 2005 Max bought an expansive Northampton shire estate where he transformed a wing of the property into a fully-fledged workplace for which to build on the label’s European expansion. The space is equipped with a design studio, showroom, offices, production rooms and a distribution centre. A London store was the natural next step.
“London has the best of everything and a very sophisticated audience,” Max explained. “Other locations may follow in due course.”
